In the fifth installment, we will introduce the history of Musashino Campus.
On November 4, 1940, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at 1243 Josui Minami, Musashisakai, Kitatama District, Tokyo (current campus location), marking the beginning of the history of our university's Musashino campus. At that time, our school's predecessor school, Koa Senmon Gakko, had only wooden classrooms and a dormitory on an area of 3,963 tsubo.
Over 80 years since then, the school has undergone various changes, and the school has expanded to become a campus of approximately 14,473 tsubo and a variety of facilities.
5th Theme Exhibition
From 2011, the redevelopment of the classroom building and Student Cafeteria was promoted as part of the "Musashino Campus Redevelopment." As the final stage, Building No. 1 was completed in 2018, and the demolition of the old building and development of the site were completed in 2020.
In the history of the school, there have been times when we faced major financial difficulties, but thanks to the support of many people, we have always been able to enhance our facilities and equipment in response to the needs of the times.
This exhibition was designed to let current students know how the campus has evolved and become easier to spend time in, and to show alumni and local residents a nostalgic view of the Musashino Campus in the past.

In these groups, many students worked hard to improve their physical strength and competitiveness toward their respective goals.
In addition, the variety of experiences gained through extracurricular activities have nurtured a rich sense of humanity, and have greatly contributed to the development of individuals with independence.
The exhibition served as an opportunity for current students, alumni, and the general public to look back on the history of Asia-University sports and think about the original significance of student sports for a new era.

A student of this university drew up a plan for the ``Academic Survey of Southwest Asia'', explained it at Faculty Council, and moved the university to cooperate with Suzuki Motor Co., Ltd. and Mainichi Shimbun. The ``Southwest Asia Academic Expedition Team'' was organized and explored 15,000 kilometers from Ceylon to Karachi in a light vehicle. It was an exhibition that considered the significance of the expedition of the research team at the time by exhibiting this record.

*Although the "Academic Expedition on the Asian Highway" was recorded on a 16mm film, it was dubbed to a DVD due to severe deterioration of the film. As a result, it became easier to watch, so in November 2019, we held several screenings of the Southwest Asia Research Expedition activity documentary film "Going to Southwest Asia."
