This course examines actual examples of smart city development, which are environmentally friendly cities that make full use of cutting-edge technology, from the perspective of consumers. The development of smart cities requires collaboration between companies in various industrial fields, such as electric power companies, gas companies, electrical equipment companies, and telecommunications companies. On the other hand, smart city development projects involving such diverse companies require strong leadership from the central company. We will explain examples of smart city development and consider the leadership of companies promoting development.

This course explores how to discover and disseminate local content such as local industries and natural resources, and how to produce products that will lead to regional revitalization and industrial promotion. Various urban contents remain unutilized in the region, such as the special skills possessed by small and medium-sized businesses clustered in the region and local products. We will explore how such region-specific urban content (regional content) is discovered and disseminated, and explore the ideal image of regional content production through characteristic examples.
