The earlier you prepare, the better

For those who wish to find employment in Japan, the longer they prepare, the more information they can gather and receive advice from more people. Even if you are a new student, if you already want to work in Japan, start preparing. At the latest, during the first semester of your third year, you should start thinking about career options after graduation. Many International Student plan to start job hunting after graduation. However, in Japan, it is normal to start at least one year before graduation, so even if you rush into your final year, it is not so easy to decide. Some International Student end up getting a job offer at the company of their choice in the blink of an eye. What's the difference between someone who can't make a decision and someone who can't decide? The keywords are <preparation> and <action>. Those who proactively receive advice from Career Center regarding the preparation period and preparation methods, learn the know-how, and act in a timely manner are likely to be selected early.

Job hunting begins with self-analysis

Self-analysis means asking yourself questions and organizing your strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes, specializations and abilities, interests, future hopes and dreams, values, and outlook on life. By looking back on your past, reexamining your present self, and envisioning your ideal future, you will discover things about yourself that you have never noticed before. If you simply think, ``If you join a company and it doesn't suit you, just change jobs,'' you will end up wasting a lot of effort, time, and money later on. In fact, in Japan, approximately 30% of university graduates quit their jobs within three years of joining the company.
