Why Asia Now? As Western civilization reaches a major turning point, Asian countries are achieving dynamic development. In response to these trends, Institute for Asian Studies conducts research on the societies and cultures of Japan and other Asian countries, and returns the results to students and working adults.

About Institute for Asian Studies

As its name suggests, Asia University has, since its founding, made it its mission to "cultivate human resources who can bring out new ideas for Asian integration, with an emphasis on research and constructive practice of Japanese and Asian cultures and societies." Institute for Asian Studies has a history of more than 50 years since its establishment, and as an affiliated research of Asia University, it returns research results to society.

Public Course /Seminars

Institute for Asian Studies Open Course

An open Course is held every spring. Each Lecturer gives a lecture from a professional standpoint under one theme in succession.

Seminar "Asia Watcher"

Organized by Institute for Asian Studies, it is held about three times a year. Lectures will be given on timely topics from changes in Asian society, language, culture, politics, economy, and social conditions.
