Asia University places great emphasis on international education and as its name implies, particularly in regards to its place within Asia. Asia is currently overflowing with variety, allure, energy and possibility. The world has its eyes on the region in expectation for what the future will bring. It was with great foresight that since its foundation, Asia University has linked itself so closely with the region. More than fifty years ago, Asia University established the Intensive Japanese Course and began actively recruiting international students primarily from other countries in Asia. Today, Asia University continues to meet the demands of the times by preparing talented individuals who can embrace new challenges, play an active role in the region and act as an intermediary between Japan and Asia.

Asia University continues to develop educational programs deeply rooted in the region such as the Asia Yume College Program. Likewise, the Graduate School of Asian and International Business Strategy provides an advanced program with practical opportunities for learning. Although emphasis has traditionally been placed on Asia, the university’s interests have become global in perspective. We have various well established overseas study programs, including the Asia University America Program (AUAP) and the Asia University Global Program (AUGP) both short-term overseas study programs. In addition, the Asia University Exchange Program (AUEP) provides students with the opportunity to participate in a one-year sojourn overseas. Asia University strives to strengthen interaction and cooperation with universities around the world and is currently developing a new overseas internship program.

Asia University is the place for students to develop into well rounded individuals based on the spirit of Self-help and Cooperation or in other words, be strict with yourself and kind to others. Everyone, including faculty, staff and myself as President are fully committed to maintaining Asia University as an institution to be trusted.
