Evacuation Site (Musashino City)

Depending on the situation at that time, there are two types of places to evacuate: "temporary gathering places" and "wide-area Evacuation Site."

Temporary meeting place (Evacuation Site)

A temporary gathering place is a place where neighboring evacuees gather temporarily to see what is going on before evacuating to a wide-area Evacuation Site, or a place where they temporarily gather for evacuation.

A total of 20 locations, including city schools (18 locations) and metropolitan high schools (2 locations), have been designated as temporary gathering places. Temporary gathering places are also designated as emergency shelters for people who have suffered damage due to house collapses, burnt down, etc., or who are at risk of being damaged.

At this temporary gathering place (evacuation center), city staff (eight people from each facility) will be the first responders, and will open and operate the temporary gathering place (evacuation center) in the event of a disaster on a holiday or at night.

Temporary meeting places near the university are Sakurano Elementary School, Second Elementary School, Second Junior High School, Sixth Junior High School, and Metropolitan Musashi High School.
