Basic Policy on Customer Harassment at Asia Educational Incorporative

1. the purpose

This policy aims to clarify the basic stance and response policy of Asia Asia Educational Incorporative (hereinafter referred to as "the University") regarding customer harassment, in order to maintain the normal operation and educational and research activities of the University.

2. Definition of Customer Harassment

In this policy, "customer harassment" refers to any words or actions from stakeholders of the University (students, prospective students and their parents, family members, Guarantor, alumni, donors, participants in events hosted by the University, facility users, parties involved in research and social collaborations, business partners, and local residents, etc., all parties with an interest in the University's educational research, and business activities) that lack reasonableness in the content of their demands, or, even if reasonable, the means or manner of fulfilling those demands are socially inappropriate and harm the University's normal operation, educational and research activities, and the working environment of faculty and staff.

3. Examples of the actions in question

Examples of actions that may constitute customer harassment are as follows. Please note that these are illustrative examples and not exhaustive.

(1) Psychological attacks such as verbal abuse, insults, and denigration of character.
(2) Intimidation, intimidation, and threatening behavior
(3) Unreasonable demands or restraints that last for extended periods
(4) Excessive repetition of the same content
(5) Persistent contact with or demands for meetings with individual faculty and staff members
(6) Defamation and libel on social media etc.
(7) Physical attack or similar act
(8) Demands for apologies or punishments without reasonable grounds
(9) Requests regarding matters that are extremely difficult to address, such as changes to the rules.
(10) Other acts of nuisance that exceed what is considered reasonable according to social norms.

4. The University's Basic Stance

This university will respond sincerely to legitimate opinions and requests from students and others.
On the other hand, if any conduct constituting customer harassment is recognized, the organization will respond resolutely from the standpoint of protecting the normal operation of the university, its educational and research activities, and the safety and dignity of its faculty and staff. Specifically, if the university determines that an act constitutes customer harassment, it will take the following actions depending on the circumstances.

(1) Switching from individual responses by faculty and staff to organizational responses
(2) Restrictions on methods of handling (contact point, time, method, etc.)
(3) Suspension of communication via visits, phone calls, emails, etc.
(4) Response through cooperation with relevant departments within the university
(5) Consult with external organizations such as lawyers and the police as needed.
(6) Other measures deemed necessary for the operation of the university
