Eligibility

Those who have foreign nationality and meet any of the following conditions:
*All of the conditions in (Note 1) to (Note 3) must be met.
(1) Those who have completed 12 years of school education outside of Japan, or who are scheduled to complete such education by March 31, 2026
(twenty one) Those who meet the above criteria and have passed an academic qualification examination equivalent to completing a 12-year course of study in a foreign country, or those who are expected to pass the examination by March 31, 2026 and will reach the age of 18 by March 31, 2026.
(3) Those who meet the criteria of (1) above and have completed a course of study at a school equivalent to a high school in a foreign country and have completed a preparatory course (or a course at a training facility) designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, or who are scheduled to complete such course by March 31, 2026.
(4) Those who meet the criteria of (1) above and have completed a course of study at a foreign school equivalent to a high school designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, or who are scheduled to complete such a course by March 31, 2026.
(5) Those who have obtained the International Baccalaureate, Abitur, Baccalaureate, or GCEA diploma, or those who are expected to obtain it by March 31, 2026
*This does not include those who have passed the high school graduation certification exam administered by the Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
(Note 1) The total period of attendance at a Japanese primary and secondary education curriculum is two years or less during the 12-year school education curriculum, and the high school that was graduated from is a school outside Japan.
(Note 2) You have not been enrolled in a university or junior college in Japan (excluding Part-time Students, auditors, and special students).
(Note 3) During the 12-year school education curriculum, the total period during which the student has studied in a school established in Japan under an education system other than that of Japan that is equivalent to the primary and secondary education curriculum of Japan must be less than two years.
*However, for International Students Entrance Examination Type C, applicants must be residing outside Japan at the time of application.

Method B (EJU Entrance Examination)

November 5th (Wed) - November 12th (Wed), 2025 *Application documents must be postmarked by the deadline.

Method C (Pre-arrival entrance exam)

Wednesday, September 3, 2025 to Friday, September 12, 2025 *Application documents must be postmarked by the deadline.
