General entrance examination (by subject)

  • This is an entrance exam that is conducted independently by each department at our university. There are two subject types, three subject types, and three subject types (best 2).
  • The two-subject type (English, Mathematics (Mathematics I, Mathematics II, Mathematics A, Mathematics B (Sequences), Mathematics C (Vectors))) is only offered by Department of Data Science Faculty of Business Administration Administration. Please note that you cannot apply to both the two-subject type and the three-subject type.
  • The 3-subject type and the 3-subject type (best 2) (English, Japanese (excluding classical Japanese and Chinese), Elective Subject) will be implemented in all faculties and departments. In addition, Department of Data Science in Faculty of Business Administration will take the exam in English, Japanese (excluding classical Japanese and Chinese), and Mathematics (Mathematics I, Mathematics A)).
  • [3-subject type] and [3-subject type (Best 2)] can be applied for in the same department. (There is a discount for applying for multiple subjects.)

Eligibility

Those who meet any of the following conditions:
(1) Those who have graduated from high school or secondary school, or are scheduled to graduate by March 2026
(2) Those who have completed 12 years of regular school education or are scheduled to complete it by March 2026
(3) Those who are deemed to have academic ability equal to or greater than that of high school graduates pursuant to Article 150 of the Enforcement Regulations of the School Education Act, and those who are expected to meet this criteria by March 2026.
①Those who have completed 12 years of school education abroad, or who are scheduled to complete it by March 2026, or those who are equivalent to this and have been designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
②Those who have completed a course at an overseas educational institution approved by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, or who are scheduled to complete the course by March 2026
3) Those who have completed an advanced course at a vocational school designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, or those who are scheduled to complete the course by March 2026

⑤Those who have passed the high school graduation qualification examination (including those who have passed the university Entrance Requirements examination) and those who are expected to pass the examination by March 31, 2026
⑥Those who have been recognized by the University as having academic ability equivalent to or greater than that of high school graduates through an individual Entrance Requirements examination and who will reach the age of 18 by March 31, 2026.
