  • This is an entrance examination that can be applied for from February onwards and will be held at the university.
  • There is a discount on entrance examination fees when applying to multiple departments.
  • The exam will be taken in 2 subjects (English and Japanese, excluding classical and Chinese literature).
  • External English exams (qualifications, scores) are available.

Eligibility

Those who meet any of the following conditions:

(1) Those who have graduated from high school or secondary school, or are scheduled to graduate by March 2026
(2) Those who have completed 12 years of regular school education or are scheduled to complete it by March 2026
(3) Those who are deemed to have academic ability equal to or greater than that of high school graduates pursuant to Article 150 of the Enforcement Regulations of the School Education Act, and those who are expected to meet this criteria by March 2026.
①Those who have completed 12 years of school education abroad, or who are scheduled to complete it by March 2026, or those who are equivalent to this and have been designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
②Those who have completed a course at an overseas educational institution approved by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, or who are scheduled to complete the course by March 2026
3) Those who have completed an advanced course at a vocational school designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, or those who are scheduled to complete the course by March 2026
④Person designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
⑤Those who have passed the high school graduation qualification examination (including those who have passed the university Entrance Requirements examination) and those who are expected to pass the examination by March 31, 2026
⑥Those who have been recognized by the University as having academic ability equivalent to or greater than that of high school graduates through an individual Entrance Requirements examination and who will reach the age of 18 by March 31, 2026.

Selection method

(1) Japanese language (modern Japanese language, language culture (excluding classical Japanese and classical Chinese))
(2) English (English Communication I, English Communication II, Logic and Expression I)
*If the score on the external English exam falls under any of the following ① through ⑤, it will be considered as 80 points on the university's English exam.
(Only English external exams taken after April 2024 and submitted in time for the application period, and official scores only, are eligible.)
1. Cambridge English Test (PET or higher) ... 140 points or higher
②GTEC (Advanced, CBT)...960 points or more
③TEAP: 225 points or more
④TEAP CBT...420 points or more
⑤ Practical English Proficiency Test (Level 2 or higher) CSE (CSE2.0) ... 1950 points or higher
*Even if you declare that you will be taking an external English test, you may still take the university's English test. In that case, the higher score of either test will be used.
100 points each, total 200 points, 60 minutes each

*However, for the Department of Hospitality Management in the Faculty of Business Administration, (1) 100 points for Japanese and (2) 200 points for English (100 points x 2) will be considered as the total of 300 points. If an external English exam is used, English will be considered as 160 points.
