Career Search Process
It is the norm to start the career search process a year before graduation. Please use the schedule below for your reference.
◆7Around July: Register your Career Options through Kyuujin NAVI (the employment search navigation system).
◆Around October: Conduct a self-analysis (“Jump Up” Career Support Notebook), an industry analysis, and a company analysis.
Submit the International Student Registration Form to the Employment Service Center for Foreigners.
◇Request company brochures, request entry forms, begin test preparations.
◇Submit entry forms, participate in company information sessions and company visits, submit applications, and participate in the on-campus company information sessions.
◇Selection examinations, interviews.
◇Announcement of job-offerings form available at the Employment Service Center for Foreigners, joint job interviews. ◆Around October: Official announcements begin.
◆December: Start to complete application forms for Permission for a Change in Residence Status.
*Only for Tokyo Regional Immigration Bureau.
Other regional immigration bureaus will start accepting application forms from January.
◆March: Graduation, Submit Permission for a Change in Status of Residence, Join company
