What is a working adult Auditing (Auditor) Student?

As a university open to the local community, Asia University is opening up its achievements in academic research and education to the general public through Subject. However, this system does not provide Credit for these courses.
For application guidelines, please refer to the "Application Guidelines for Working Adult Auditing (Auditor) Student" below.
*Information for the fiscal year 2025 will be released around February of the same year.

Eligibility

  1. Those who are 23 years of age or older and wish to attend classes offered by the Subject. However, it is not possible to apply concurrently with the “Musashino Regional Free University” audit system for the current academic year.
  2. Foreign nationals must have been issued a one-year stay visa for the relevant fiscal year.

Auditing subject

Auditing is only permitted for subjects designated by Asia University (auditing practical skills, Practicum Seminar, seminars, course-related subjects, and some foreign language subjects are not permitted).
In principle, classes will be held face-to-face.
However, even during the 13 half-year face-to-face classes, taking into consideration the educational effectiveness, online communication (online conferencing systems such as "Zoom") may be used for individual classes (or within individual classes). , please prepare a communication environment where you can watch the video, and be able to support both.
 
(1) Year-round subjects: Classes are held once a week throughout the year.
(2) Semester intensive courses: Classes are held twice a week during the spring or fall semester.
(3) Half-term courses: Classes are held once a week during the spring or fall semester.
   
*Changes may occur in class schedules, etc.

Attendance restrictions

  1. You cannot attend more than 12 Credit per year.
  2. As a general rule, changes to subjects are not permitted after permission has been granted. However, even if you have permission to take a course, if there are no regular students taking the course, permission may be revoked. In this case, you may change the subject if you wish. If you do not wish to change, your registration will be canceled and your payment (screening fee, attendance fee) and some of the submitted documents (residence certificate) will be returned.

Audit Auditing (Auditor) Student application form/health certificate

Fill in the necessary information on the form prescribed by the university and attach a photo (only ID photo is acceptable. Background color is 1 color, no hat, front view, length 4.0cm x width 3.0cm). Photographs taken with a digital camera, color copies, and snapshots are not permitted.
In addition, please bring the university's prescribed health certificate to a medical institution and undergo a health checkup.
 
[Note] If you are permitted to attend a lecture, you will be required to present a separate photo for your student ID (3.0cm x 2.4cm) when completing the application process. Please prepare in advance.
 

1 resident card (applicable person only)

If you fall under any of the following categories, you will need a copy of your resident card.
 
  1. new registrant
    (Even if you were registered as Auditing (Auditor) Student of Jiyu University in the previous year, you will be a new registrant.)
  2. Those who changed their address during the previous year
  3. Those who did not register as adult Auditing (Auditor) Student in the previous year

If you are a foreign national, please also submit a copy of your passport and residence card.

Notes

  2. Students who wish to take final exams related to audited subjects may do so with the permission of the instructor in charge, but Credit will not be recognized.
