Master's course

Requirement for Completion of the Graduate School

Students must be enrolled for at least two years, complete at least 32 Credit, and pass Master’s Thesis review and examination. However, those who have achieved excellent results may be allowed to complete the course early. In addition, instead of Master’s Thesis, students may submit "results of research on a specific topic."
Course registrationOf the 32 Credit Requirement for Completion of the Graduate School 12 Credit (8 Credit for those who wish to complete early) are compulsory, and the rest are optional.

Required Subject
(1) 8 Credit for “Seminar” by academic Professor (taken in 1st and 2nd years; however, 4 Credit for those who wish to complete early)
(2) 4 Credit for “Lecture” by academic Professor

Elective Subject
(1) Earn at least 20 Credit from subjects other than “Seminar.”
(2) Up to 8 Credit of original text research will be included in Requirement for Completion of the Graduate School.
(3) Up to 8 Credit for Lecture offered by other research schools will be included in Requirement for Completion of the Graduate School.

Requirement for Completion of the Graduate School

Students in the doctoral program must be enrolled for at least 3 years, complete 12 Credit more credits, and pass Doctoral Dissertation review and examination.
However, those who have completed and entered a law Graduate School must have attended the school for at least two years, completed at least eight Credit in subjects, and passed Doctoral Dissertation review and examination.
Course registration (1) Take 4 Credit “special research” taught by your academic Professor each year, for a total of 12 Credit.
(2) It is desirable to take courses offered by the Graduate School of Law under the supervision of two co-Professor while in school.

Paper Evaluation Criteria

master's degree Master’s Thesis evaluation criteria
1. research topic must be set appropriately, and the intention behind writing the thesis and the problem awareness must be clear.
2. Appropriate research methods are used according to research topic.
3. There must be a consistent logical structure from the problem statement to the conclusion.
4. The research must be original in its field.
5. The thesis statement must be written appropriately.
(1) Citations of precedents, references, etc. must be made clearly and appropriately.
(2) The analysis, introduction, and discussion of legal precedents, references, etc. must be written from the author's perspective in his or her own words.
(3) There must be a clear distinction between the contents of references, etc. and the author's own views.
6. It must conform to the rules for writing Master’s Thesis specified by research school.

(2) The analysis, introduction, and discussion of legal precedents and references must be written from the research 's perspective in his or her own words.
(3) There must be a clear distinction between the contents of references etc. and the views of the research.
6. It must conform to the rules for producing research results and research ethics specified by research school.
PhD degree Doctoral Dissertation evaluation criteria

4. The research must be original in its field.

6. In addition to satisfying criteria 1 to 5 above, the paper must utilize sufficient sources of information and references, and provide original and new knowledge in the relevant research field.
7. The content of the doctoral thesis must be at a level that is deemed to demonstrate that the person submitting Doctoral Dissertation has the advanced research ability to be successful as an independent research.
8. The research Doctoral Dissertation dissertation regulations and research ethics specified by the graduate school.
