Auditing (Auditor) Student system

overview

Under this system, Auditing (Auditor) Student are permitted to attend specific courses offered at Graduate School, as long as they do not interfere with research of regular students (up to 12 Credit from Lecture courses offered by the relevant research school).
However, if there are no regular Graduate Student enrolled in the course, it is not permitted to attend the course.
Please note that even if you audit courses as Auditing (Auditor) Student, you will not be able to earn Credit.

Eligibility

A person who falls under any of the following.
  1. A person who has graduated or is expected to graduate from a university stipulated in the School Education Law
  2. Those who have been awarded Bachelor of Arts 's degree from the National Institution for Academic Degrees and Support for University Reforms, or those who are expected to be awarded Bachelor of Arts 's degree
  3. Those who have completed or are expected to complete a 16-year curriculum at a foreign school
  4. Those designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Ministry of Education Notification No. 5, 1953)
  5. Those who have been conferred an advanced diploma degree or are expected to be conferred an advanced diploma degree at a vocational school designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for a minimum of four years of study.
  6. Those who have reached the age of 22 and have been recognized by the relevant research school committee as having academic ability equal to or higher than that of university graduates through individual screening of eligibility for application.
*Foreign applicants must meet the above application requirements and have a period of stay of at least one year from the date of application.

Applicants who fall under 6. must check the “Application Qualification Examination” before applying.
