Eligibility

A person who falls under any of the following.

A person who has graduated or is expected to graduate from a university stipulated in the School Education Law
Those who have been awarded Bachelor of Arts 's degree from the National Institution for Academic Degrees and Support for University Reforms, or those who are expected to be awarded Bachelor of Arts 's degree
Those who have completed or are expected to complete a 16-year curriculum at a foreign school
Those designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Ministry of Education Notification No. 5, 1953)
Those who have been conferred an advanced diploma degree or are expected to be conferred an advanced diploma degree at a vocational school designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for a minimum of four years of study.
Those who have reached the age of 22 and have been recognized by the relevant research school committee as having academic ability equal to or higher than that of university graduates through individual eligibility screening.

Master's degree target

Under this system, Research Student who have completed the master's course receive research guidance on a specific topic from their Professor, and are permitted to attend Lecture necessary for their research.
Please note that even if you take courses as Research Student, you will not be able to earn Credit.
