5 Reasons to Choose Asia University

open all
Reason 1: Our track record of welcoming international students
Seventy years have passed since we became the first Japanese university to accept over ninety international students at once back in 1954. We have since built up a track record of welcoming many international students. We have even had three generations of the same families choose to study abroad here. Our alumni, who come mainly from Asia, have become strong allies for our current students.
Reason 2: Our diverse screening process for international students
Did you know that typically, you have to apply domestically for Japanese universities? But here at Asia University, we have been holding “remote” screenings since before that became the status quo. For some departments, the screening process is as simple as taking a Japanese written exam and an interview.
Reason 3: Japanese classes are included as regular class options
Japanese language is included as a regular (required) subject for first-year students in all departments. It is included as one of the important classes required for graduation and helps a great deal with improving Japanese skills after entering the university.
Reason 4: Connect with others through our International Student Association
Our international students come from a variety of countries and regions in Asia, and we have an association that helps bring together these otherwise individuals called the International Student Association. International students lead the association and plan and hold events including international exchange parties and Japanese debate contests. All of the international students who study here are members of this association.
Reason 5: Our support system
Since 1954, supporting all areas of international students’ lives, from their studies to their daily lives, has been one of our missions. We now have a special department in place to support international students with fulltime dedicated staff.
We have also begun offering job hunting services for international students wanting to work in Japan and provide them with 1-on-1 support. This service is one way our support system communicates with specialized staff when needed to help make international students lives even richer.
