Kyung Hee University

Kyung Hee University is a private university located in Seoul, South Korea. type of stay

AUKP_06
You will be staying in a dormitory for International Student at Kyung Hee University. You will share a room with a roommate of the same gender. Room assignments will be decided by Kyung Hee University and you will be notified when you move in. The room is equipped with a bed, air conditioner, desk, washing machine, refrigerator, shower, and toilet.
The number of International Student at Kyung Hee University has increased significantly, exceeding the dormitory capacity. If students are unable to stay in the dormitory, they will have to stay in hotels and commute to school by subway, etc. If you stay in a hotel, the participation fee is expected to increase by about 500,000 yen.

Examples of local classes and timetables

The classes consist of three classes: Korean language classes to learn Korean, culture classes to learn Korean culture, and Korean research seminars. In addition to exams, evaluations are conducted from a variety of perspectives, including assignments, class participation, attendance, and attitude toward classes.
Students can take and earn Credit courses in Asia University, so they can graduate in four years without taking a leave of absence. The subjects that are accredited vary from department to department, so for details, please refer to the "Guide to Studying Abroad" uploaded to the Asia University Portal.

Korean Language Classes

There are 10 weeks of Korean language classes each term, 20 hours a week for a total of 200 hours, for a total of 400 hours over two terms. Before classes start, students take a placement test to select a class that matches their Korean language ability. Levels are divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced, and students are assigned to classes with even more specific levels within each level.
Using teaching materials developed by Kyung Hee University, classes are held in three areas: grammar, listening/speaking, and reading/writing, allowing students to comprehensively improve their Korean communication skills.

Cultural Classes

Culture classes are offered for a total of 12 hours per week for 6 weeks out of the 10 weeks of each term. Each term has 3-4 subjects with different themes, and students must select one of them to take. Past themes include "Challenge K-POP", "Korean Drama", and "Practical Korean".

Korean research Seminar

This is a class exclusively for Aichi University students that consists of a two-hour seminar once a week and three fieldwork sessions over a 15-week semester. It focuses on Korean society, culture, and history, and after attending an orientation class, students set their own research themes and make presentations and hold discussions with each other based on materials they have collected during fieldwork at Library (Library Administration), art galleries, museums, etc. The goal of this class is for students to be able to collect materials related to Korea in Korean and to be able to make presentations about Korean society, culture, and history in Korean.
*The content may change depending on the number of students at our university and their language levels.
