2017 Graduation Ceremony Held
The 2017 Graduation Ceremony was held at the gymnasium on March 15. This year, 1,435 undergraduate students from four faculties graduated from Asia University. Of these, 30 graduated with masters and one with a doctorate. There was also 27 students who completed the Intensive Japanese Course. At the ceremony, President Michiharu Kurita presented the graduates with their diplomas after which the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Vice Chairman of the Alumni Association delivered words of farewell. The graduation ceremony concluded with the singing of the first students’ song (“Youth”) and Auld Lang Syne. A total of 1,492 students left Asia University to start out in life. After the ceremony, the “Forum for Farewell” was held at a hotel in Tokyo with the participation of approximately 1,100 graduates and faculty members. The graduates enjoyed talking about their memories of campus life with friends or faculty members who had supported them.
