Professor and Students Visit from Central Washington University

One professor and nine students from Central Washington University (CWU) in the United States visited Asia University for two days on July 4 and 5. CWU is one of the universities to which Asia U sends students on our Asia University America Program (AUAP) and Asia University Exchange Program (AUEP).
On the first day, after hearing explanations including the University philosophy, academic departments, the Intensive Japanese Course, and the Asia University Japan Program (AUJP) from staff of the International Student Services Division, the visitors were led on a campus tour to see some of the facilities including the library and our Institution’s Historical Exhibit.
On the second day, the visitors participated in a Freshmen English class that is compulsory for all first-year undergraduate students. Mixed in among Asia U students, the visitors were split into groups of four to five to talk about their favorite academic subjects, their families, and what they like about Japan and the US. Also on that day, an exchange party with international students who had previously studied at CWU was held, and students were overjoyed to see faces that they had not seen in a long time, hugging and reminiscing together about their past experiences.
