・Purchase of equipment and consumables for Student Cafeteria renovation Aiming to create a comfortable, convenient, and attractive campus, the cafeteria was renovated to "Ginza Suehiro" to provide a memorable atmosphere and taste to students. In order to deepen the familiarity of the cafeteria, students were asked to suggest a name for the cafeteria, and "ASIA kitchen" (commonly known as Ajikichi) was selected from over 50 submissions. ・English Cafe We hold "English Cafes" during free time between classes, where students can enjoy free talk with foreign Lecturer. By providing a place for students to casually participate in English conversation, students have improved not only their language skills but also their English communication skills, and more students are taking the initiative in studying English. We will continue this initiative in the 2024 academic year. ・Unity Academic Alliance Agreement We have signed an academic alliance contract with Unity, a 3D game development tool used in classes in Department of Data Science and Data Science Minor in Faculty of Business Administration. We are actively using it, for example, in an effort to recreate a university campus in the Metaverse, a 3D virtual space. Appropriated expenses: 885,000 yen

・Use of online databases The donations were used to cover part of the contract fees for online databases that are contracted for use by students and faculty members in their ongoing learning and research. Some databases can be accessed from off-campus, so specialized, up-to-date information can be obtained from anywhere. Appropriated expenses: 16,297,500 yen

Asia University offers a wide variety of study abroad programs, and among the students who have participated in the traditional AUAP study abroad program, we have used the funds to fund the AUAP (Asia University America Program) Scholarship, which is available to top academically achieving students.

Donation Project: Education research Promotion Fund

I used the cafeteria that opened in 2023. The facility is clean and has sofa seats, so I can spend my free time comfortably.
I can enjoy chatting with friends I met in class while eating in the cafeteria, and not only that, but I also got to know the seminar classmates of the friends I met sitting next to me, and the open floor has expanded my circle of friends. After relaxing in my free time, I head to Wind Orchestra I am focusing on. As I am the captain, I am leading the members and working hard to reach the goal of participating in the national tournament.

In the spring semester of 2023, I participated in the six-month American study abroad program AUAP and studied abroad at Central Washington University. I am quite shy, so at first I had a hard time talking to local university students. However, I was able to receive a scholarship, and I used it to participate in various activities during my study abroad. Then, I gradually became able to proactively greet people I met for the first time, and I feel that I have acquired communication skills and initiative.
I would like to further hone the English skills I have developed through studying abroad and aim to obtain qualifications in the future.

Donation Project: Sports Promotion Fund

I work (Hardball) Baseball Club, my studies, and life in the dormitory.
The sports promotion funds we received last year were used to purchase baseball equipment such as batting gloves and for travel expenses to local areas. All members of the team participated in the opening game of the 2023 Toho University Baseball Autumn League, held in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, and were able to fight in a different atmosphere of tension than at Meiji Jingu Baseball Stadium.
All members of the club will work hard to pass on (Hardball) Baseball Club 's glorious history as a fine tradition to the next generation and to create a new Asia University (Hardball) Baseball Club is uniquely our own.

Shen Yihan

Donation Project: Scholarships for ASEAN International Student

I took classes and seminars with an interest in "multicultural coexistence." In the summer of Sophomore, I conducted fieldwork in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. I interviewed government offices and mosques, and was able to gain a deeper understanding and deepen my thoughts about multicultural coexistence in Japan. In September 2023, I also visited Tokyu Corporation, a company that supports the scholarship, and was able to express my gratitude to them in person, as well as hear from the CEOs of major companies, which was a valuable experience.
I would like to make the most of this opportunity to study in Japan made possible by the scholarship, study hard, and experience as much Japanese life and culture as possible.
