<Education content>

Seminars are Required Subject from the first to the fourth year. In seminars, students will engage in active learning, including studying intercultural exchange, selecting their own themes, conducting field research, presenting findings, participating in discussions, and writing (writing papers and reports). Seminars form the core of learning in this department.
In the first year, students are required to take "Beginner Regional Language," a course in which they choose and study one of several languages, primarily from the Asian region (Korean, Chinese, Indonesian, Hindi, or Arabic). This beginner level ensures that all students acquire basic grammar and fundamental conversational skills. Furthermore, to further enhance regional language proficiency, "Intermediate Regional Language" is offered as Elective Subject in the second year, and "Advanced Regional Language" in the third year. Acquiring a regional language, along with learning English, is a fundamental skill for promoting multicultural exchange.
In the first year, introductory subjects such as "Introduction to Sociology", "Introduction to Cultural Anthropology", and "Introduction to Asian Economy and Society" are compulsory. In addition, in the second year, "Introduction to multicultural society", "Introduction to tourism geography", "Introduction to language and society" and other general topics are offered as elective compulsory subjects. Through these subjects, students will learn the basic knowledge necessary for intercultural exchange.
In the 3rd and 4th years, but some subjects from the 2nd year, students are divided into 3 areas: multicultural social cooperation area, tourism multicultural area, and multicultural and multilingual area, and specialized Elective Subject are arranged. To improve English proficiency, broaden international perspectives, and provide cross-cultural experiences, AUAP (5-month study abroad program in the United States), AUASP (5-month study abroad program in Malaysia), and AUGP (short-term study abroad program) are offered as elective but recommended subjects.

This faculty systematically organizes and implements the following curriculum in order to cultivate individuals who can acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes outlined in the diploma policy and contribute to the realization of people's health and the development of a well-being society.

To enable students to systematically and comprehensively study health and sports science, the fundamentals of health and sports science are placed as core Subject (Required Subject) in the early years, while a variety of applied and practical subjects are divided into two areas, "sports performance" and "health promotion," and are mainly placed from the second year onward. There are no Required Subject in each of the two areas, but a total number of Credit required for both areas combined is set to ensure learning outcomes.
To enable students to systematically and comprehensively study information engineering, the curriculum includes core Subject (Required Subject) that form the foundation of information engineering. These foundational subjects are placed in the early years, while applied subjects and specialized courses that connect health and sports science with information engineering are offered as elective Required Subject from the third year onward.
To broaden students' perspectives and deepen their general knowledge, the university will establish "Subject Open to All students." Among these, subjects designed to foster an understanding of societal diversity and to learn about different perspectives and values will be designated as Required Subject.
To provide opportunities to apply the knowledge acquired in both health and sports science and information engineering to society, the "Specialized Career Subjects" (elective Required Subject) include experiential learning such as internships and volunteer activities, as well as practical training in alternative sports (universal sports and new sports) that everyone can enjoy anytime and at any time, allowing students to gain experience working on challenges in cooperation with others.
