Scholarships for International Students from ASEAN Countries

This scholarship program was established with the aim of "cultivating global human resources who can thrive in Japanese companies" and to foster truly international individuals who can meet the expectations of society at large, not just the business world.

The ASEAN International Student Scholarship is a grant-type scholarship program for students from ASEAN member countries (excluding Singapore and Brunei) that provides support for the cost of textbooks, tuition fees, and accommodation for the first two years after enrollment.

This scholarship is funded by donations from many companies that support the purpose of the program, and is an original scholarship from Asia University that has so far supported over 100 students from a total of seven countries.


This scholarship has two courses:
  1. Special Course
    Scholarship period: 5 years (1 year in Intensive Japanese Course + 4 years in the Undergraduate Program)
    Total amount of grant: Approximately 6 million yen (equivalent to five years' tuition fees + study materials and entrance examination fees + accommodation fees for the first two years)
    *Select and proceed to one of the following departments: Business Management, Data Science, Economics, Law, International Relations, Multicultural Communication, or Contemporary Society.

  2. Undergraduate Courses
    Scholarship period: 4 years (4 years for undergraduate students)
    Total amount of grant: Approximately 5 million yen (equivalent to four years' tuition fees + study materials and entrance examination fees + accommodation fees for the first two years)
*Students must belong to one of the following departments: Business Management, Data Science, Economics, Law, International Relations, Multicultural Communication, or Contemporary Society.
