type of stay

type of stay
Students will generally stay in UCSI University dormitories in pairs, sharing rooms. While you will be sharing rooms with other Asia University students, if the number of students and gender balance result in an odd number, you may be assigned a single room or share a room with an international International Student from another Asia University. The final room assignments will be announced at the pre-departure orientation session. All rooms are equipped with a bed, air conditioning, closet, desk, shower, and toilet. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus, including in the dormitories.

Examples of local classes and timetables

The curriculum consists of two main components: "English for Tertiary Education," which focuses on learning English, and "Malaysian Studies," which covers Malaysian culture. All instructors for "English for Tertiary Education" are qualified professionals qualified to teach English to non-native speakers, while instructors for "Malaysian Studies" are full-time faculty members at UCSI. Evaluation is based on a multifaceted approach, including not only exams but also assignments, participation in classes, attendance, and attitude towards learning.
You can take courses locally and earn Credit that can be recognized as courses at Asia University, allowing you to graduate in four years without taking a leave of absence. For details on the courses that can be recognized, please refer to the "Course Registration Guide" for each faculty.

English for Tertiary Education

overview
This is a class to improve the four English skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking with International Student enrolled at UCSI University. A variety of materials such as English learning texts and newspaper articles can be used as teaching materials, so you can learn about social, cultural, and world events. You will also improve your English communication skills through class discussions and presentations.
Class composition
Your class will be determined by a test conducted upon arrival. Each class consists of 10 to 20 students, using the "international class" method where students study together with international International Student from other countries. There are levels from 1 to 10, and if you are taking a class and feel that the level is not suitable for you, you can change classes.
timetable
Classes are held every day, Monday through Friday, and last approximately 4 hours per day.

This will also help improve your English language skills. In addition to Lecture, field work will be conducted approximately once a month (included in the participation fee), and research and surveys will be conducted outside of campus. You can see with your own eyes, feel with your own skin, and get a real sense of the remarkable development of Asia.
