Participation requirements
AUASP is open only to students who meet the following eligibility requirements, conditions, and selection criteria.Target department
First-year students from all faculties and departments (as their study abroad period is in their second year).*Students enrolled in the Hospitality Management department are eligible to participate starting from the 2027 academic year.
*Students enrolled in "“ASIA YUME COLLEGE”" are not eligible to apply.
Participation conditions
(1) The applicant must have a strong desire to study abroad and not have any major problems that would hinder their participation (such as academic attitude, course completion status, study abroad expenses, health condition, etc.).(2) Adhere to the program rules and conditions of study abroad, and attend all pre-departure training sessions.
*Students in Faculty of Business Administration are also required to complete all Required Subject offered in the spring semester of their first year during the spring semester (even if a retake course is offered in the fall semester, participation will not be permitted if the course was not completed in the spring semester).
Selection Criteria
The following criteria must be met① TOEIC® 400 points or more
* Best score during the document screening process
② Obtain Credit for "Freshman English I"
③ Obtain Credit for the "seminar" offered in the spring semester of the first year within your department*.
*Students in Faculty of Business Administration are also required to earn Credit for all Required Subject offered in the spring semester of their first year.

Overview of the host university
UCSI University
UCSI is a large, comprehensive private university representing Malaysia, with its campus located in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of the country's capital, Kuala Lumpur.

type of stay

Students will generally stay in UCSI University dormitories in pairs, sharing rooms. While you will be sharing rooms with other Asia University students, if the number of students and gender balance result in an odd number, you may be assigned a single room or share a room with an international International Student from another Asia University. The final room assignments will be announced at the pre-departure orientation session. All rooms are equipped with a bed, air conditioning, closet, desk, shower, and toilet. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus, including in the dormitories.
Examples of local classes and timetables
The curriculum consists of two main components: "English for Tertiary Education," which focuses on learning English, and "Malaysian Studies," which covers Malaysian culture. All instructors for "English for Tertiary Education" are qualified professionals qualified to teach English to non-native speakers, while instructors for "Malaysian Studies" are full-time faculty members at UCSI. Evaluation is based on a multifaceted approach, including not only exams but also assignments, participation in classes, attendance, and attitude towards learning.You can take courses locally and earn Credit that can be recognized as courses at Asia University, allowing you to graduate in four years without taking a leave of absence. For details on the courses that can be recognized, please refer to the "Course Registration Guide" for each faculty.
English for Tertiary Education
overview
This is a class to improve the four English skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking with International Student enrolled at UCSI University. A variety of materials such as English learning texts and newspaper articles can be used as teaching materials, so you can learn about social, cultural, and world events. You will also improve your English communication skills through class discussions and presentations.Class composition
Your class will be determined by a test conducted upon arrival. Each class consists of 10 to 20 students, using the "international class" method where students study together with international International Student from other countries. There are levels from 1 to 10, and if you are taking a class and feel that the level is not suitable for you, you can change classes.timetable
Classes are held every day, Monday through Friday, and last approximately 4 hours per day.Malaysian Studies
overview
Based on the content of "Malaysian Studies", which is also offered as a regular subject at UCSI University, we will cover topics such as the history, society, culture, and economy of Malaysia, which is a multi-ethnic, multilingual, and multi-religious society, and increase your knowledge. This will also help improve your English language skills. In addition to Lecture, field work will be conducted approximately once a month (included in the participation fee), and research and surveys will be conducted outside of campus. You can see with your own eyes, feel with your own skin, and get a real sense of the remarkable development of Asia.Just before returning home, students will make a final presentation as the culmination of their lessons.

Since this class is aimed at students of the university, students will take the "special class" method, which is organized only by students of the university.timetable

Precautions when participating
- The program may be canceled if the minimum number of participants is not reached.
- The program may be canceled due to various reasons such as the host university or transportation facility.
- Study abroad period, training schedule and content (including class format), number Credit, accommodation and accommodation format, and other program implementation details may change due to various circumstances such as the host university and transportation facilities.
- The tour may be canceled due to international circumstances, local living conditions, including natural disasters, sudden incidents and accidents, etc.
- Foreign nationals may need to apply for a separate visa or may not be able to obtain a visa depending on the country of study, so please consult with International Center in advance.
- Depending on the number of applicants, a separate deadline may be set for re-recruitment.
