A short-term study abroad program held during summer and spring holidays with the aim of improving language skills and understanding different cultures.
A chance to enjoy a long vacation like never before!
Asia University University Global Program is a short-term study abroad program lasting from three weeks to approximately two months, held during the summer and spring holidays, with the aim of improving language skills and understanding different cultures.
Participants can be from any faculty or year, and can choose from 16 study abroad destinations based on the region and language they are interested in.

3 styles to suit your purpose

language intensive class

AUGP語学集中授業
Students will study nine languages, including English, Korean, Chinese, Spanish, and German, intensively in classes suited to their proficiency level. Classes will be held together with International Student from other countries.*
*India, Indonesia, and America (WSP) are special classes only for students of Asia University.

internship

A four-week work experience (internship) that allows you to experience various business sites such as hotels, travel agencies, cruise ships, trading companies, law firms, and event planning companies. You can put your language skills to the test and learn more practical foreign languages.
*The internship destination may change due to circumstances such as the host company.

service learning

<Target> Portland State University, USA
This is a program to think about what a sustainable society is by conducting interviews with companies and organizations and actually participating in activities. We will deepen our thoughts on themes unique to the environmental city of Portland, such as "creating a livable city" and SDGs.
*Some years students participate in programs that focus on communication.

The Global Program is conducted during the summer and spring holidays, so students can participate without interfering with their undergraduate classes in the spring and fall semesters.
If our students achieve the required grades in the global programs, they will be awarded 2 to 4 Credit depending on the program they participate in.
*The number of Credit that will be recognized will vary depending on the program you participate in. Please refer to the "Course Guide" for details.

You can participate regardless of your department or year.

All undergraduates are 1st to 4th year students, and students who are studying or have already completed the language of the host country can participate regardless of their undergraduate or academic year.
You can decide when to study abroad according to your four-year study plan, so you can participate in various ways according to your study abroad goals.

Plan A: Participate at any time during your time at school (1st to 4th years)
Plan B: Participate in AUGP as a preparatory step before participating in AUAP, AUASP, and AUKP
Plan C: After participating in AUAP, AUASP, and AUKP, participate in AUGP to take a further step up.
Plan D: Participate in AUGP as a step-up before taking the exchange program (AUEP) exam
Plan E: Make full use of the study abroad program!

*In addition to the above, it is possible to create various study abroad plans to suit your purposes.
*AUGP training sessions begin approximately 3 months prior to departure. Therefore, students cannot participate in the AUAP, AUASP, AUCP, AUKP, or spring or summer programs immediately after returning from Faculty of Urban Innovation Program.

You can participate as many times as you like during your studies. However, a maximum Credit Credit be counted as Requirement for Graduation.

Study with local students and International Student from other countries

International Student from English-speaking countries (Ireland, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Vietnam), China, Taiwan, Korea, Spain, Germany, France, and Russia study the language of their host country together with students from other countries in classes suited to their language level. The Korean program also offers a "Toumi system" where students study together with local students.
You can take a level check test after you arrive at the destination or before you depart, and then study in a class that suits your language ability, from beginner to advanced. This is why it is recommended not only for first-time students, but also for those who have experienced other study abroad programs and want to take their skills to the next level.
*Depending on the time of year and level, there may be classes with a large number of Japanese students.
