Industry-academia-government collaboration

In order to further enhance the educational activities of our students, our university maintains close relationships with industry and NPOs, and receives a variety of support such as dispatching Lecturer and accepting internships. We are working to improve the effectiveness of our education by actively cooperating with us in supporting study abroad programs and accepting practical training in Japan.

Tourism management personnel training Course

Asia University is participating in the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's ``Tourism Management Human Resources Development Project in Collaboration with Universities, etc.'' and will aim to ``develop management human resources to support the further growth and development of the food and beverage industry and food tourism'' over a three-year period from 2021 to 2023. Olympic/Paralympic Cooperation Project

In preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games (hereinafter referred to as the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics), our university has made the following efforts.

Asia University Volunteer Training Program

This is a volunteer training program for applying for Games/City Volunteers recruited by the Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (hereinafter referred to as the Organizing Committee) and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Volunteer training was conducted by students (Asia University Volunteer Center, Volunteer Group "Seseragi") based on Asia University medium- to long-term plan.
 
In 2019, I participated in the Tokyo Marathon and the Rugby World Cup as a volunteer, and at the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, I participated as a tournament volunteer and as a city volunteer recommended by Musashino City.

Olympic and Paralympic-related public Course

From 2014, when our university signed a collaboration and cooperation agreement with the Organizing Committee, we have held an open Course on "Introduction to Sports Hospitality" until 2020. Olympians, Paralympians, and people from related organizations such as the Organizing Committee were invited each time to deepen their understanding of the Olympics and Paralympics from various angles in an omnibus format.

“ASIA YUME COLLEGE” Career Development China Program

“ASIA YUME COLLEGE” Career Development China Program has the following three features.

1. Acquisition of two specializations: classes in the undergraduate school and “China”

In parallel with the classes of the faculty to which you belong, you will take the unique classes of "“ASIA YUME COLLEGE”". It features a curriculum that allows students to acquire both "undergraduate expertise" and "expertise on Asia and China." Studying in China not only deepens knowledge, but also develops human resources who can be active in the field of business.

2. Thorough support through industry-academia collaboration

Asia University which has a long-standing relationship with China, and companies seeking to develop leaders in Chinese business. The unique program of "“ASIA YUME COLLEGE”" is realized through collaboration between the two. Sponsor companies provide a variety of support, including joint development of career education, dispatch of Lecturer, and acceptance of internships.

3. 5 months study abroad and internship in China

In his second year, he studied abroad for four months at Dalian University of Foreign Studies in Dalian, China. He takes Chinese classes while living in a dormitory with roommates who are Chinese students. In addition, participants will gain a first-hand understanding of the Chinese business scene through special Lecture given by practitioners from Japanese and Chinese companies who are active locally, and through a one-month internship.

Efforts for foreign International Student in ASEAN countries

The University has established a new program for scholarship students across various faculties, "Asia University ASEAN Students Japan Program (abbreviated ASEAN-JAPAN Program)," which aims to "foster global human resources who can play an active role in Japanese companies" from the 2009 academic year. -The program is designed to meet the expectations of not only the industrial world but also society at large. The program aims to nurture true global citizens who can meet the expectations of industry and society at large.

In addition, the International Student Scholarship Program for ASEAN Countries was established through donations from companies, targeting foreigners from eight ASEAN countries International Student who wish to study at the University. Asia University ASEAN International Student Japan Program

The program offers a 5-year integrated curriculum. International students who are certified as program students (ASEAN countries International Student scholarship students) will study mainly Japanese language at the special program for international students established by the university, and then proceed to the faculty of their choice from among the five faculties established by the university (Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of International Relations, Faculty of Urban Innovation). In addition to Japanese language education, students acquire basic knowledge and skills through liberal arts education and specialized education, and acquire basic skills for working adults.

Support period: Period of Japanese language education at the international student course (1 year) and period of enrollment at the undergraduate school (4 years)
