About admission capacity and examination format

- Is there an admission quota for each exam type?

A.There is no admission quota for each type of examination. This is the capacity including each exam.
- Is there an entrance exam for foreigners?
-
A.The Graduate Graduate School of Economics Master's Program conducts the "Foreign International Student Examination."
Application eligibility: Persons with nationality other than Japan (excluding residence status (permanent resident))
- Is there an entrance exam for working adults?
-
A.The Graduate Graduate School of Economics Master's Program conducts a "Examination for Working People" for Japanese students and foreign students who have graduated from a Japanese university.
Eligibility: Applicants must have worked as a member of society (including housework) for at least two years after graduating from university (excluding time spent studying at a vocational school, university, Graduate School, etc.).
- Are there any recommended entrance exams?

A.We have a "recommended admission" system for our master's program for fourth-year undergraduate students or those who graduated the previous year. Applicants must meet the application requirements set by research school.
Eligibility criteria for application are the number of undergraduate Credit and GPA.
In addition, we also have a recommendation exam system for students in Intensive Japanese Course at our university.

About application qualification

- I did not graduate from the Faculty Faculty of Economics. Can I still take the entrance exam?

A.can. There is no designation of faculty for application eligibility.
- I have not graduated from a four-year university. Am I eligible to apply?

A.Applicants who have not completed the 16-year course and intend to apply for Graduate School entrance examination must have academic ability equivalent to or higher than those who have graduated from a university (applicants for the doctoral course must have a master's degree or a professional degree). It is necessary to examine whether there is or not before filing the application. This system is called “application eligibility screening”.
As a result of the examination, applicants can apply for Graduate School entrance examination only if their eligibility is recognized. Applicants who wish to have their application eligibility screened should inquire at Admissions Center before the deadline for submitting documents for screening.
- I am a foreigner, but I have not taken The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) or Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU). Can I apply for Graduate School?

A.Although the year in which you took the test does not matter, you must have taken The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) Level 1 (N1) to qualify for application.

- Is it necessary to contact the instructor in advance before applying?

A.there is no need.
Please note that we do not make introductions for meetings. Please refer to research fields of faculty listed in "Faculty Information" under "Faculty Introduction" on our university's graduate Graduate School website. If your email address is published under "Faculty Information", you can contact us via email.
- Is there a system for exemption from the written test? Also, what are the conditions?

A.If you have passed two or more subjects in the Master's Program General Examination and Examination for Working People Tax Accountants, you will be exempted from the written examination.
Those who have submitted the results of the economics proficiency test "ERE Micro/Macro" for the Master's Program General Examination, Foreign International Student Examination, and Examination for Working People can substitute the results for the written examination for specialized subjects.

About student life

- What is your class schedule (timetable)?

A.Classes are held from Monday to Saturday. Classes are held from 1st period to 5th period (8:45 to 18:55). Also, classes are not held in the evenings or on Sundays.
However, tax-related classes are held intensively on Saturdays. Some students complete the course with only Saturday classes.
*Some events are held on weekdays and must be attended (such as debriefing sessions to report on the progress of a thesis).
- How are Graduate School classes conducted? Will there be exams and report submissions?

A.One class hour is 105 minutes.

- Is there a Tuition exemption for International Student?

A.If you apply after enrollment and are approved, you will receive a reduction in Tuition for the fall semester.
However, this is limited to students with a "Student" visa. For more information, please contact International Center.

For International Student, International Center can introduce scholarships.
For Japanese students, Student Center can introduce scholarships.

- Can I apply for a tax accountant exam subject exemption after completing Graduate School Asia University?

A.Teachers who can teach "Tax Law", which is exempted from tax accountant examination subjects, provide Seminar guidance. However, the National Tax Accountant Examination is under the jurisdiction of the National Tax Agency, so please be sure to contact the National Tax Agency or check the Tax Accountant Examination Information on the agency's website for details on the "Certified Tax Accountant Examination" and the "examination subject exemption based on degree" system.
- Has anyone completed Asia University Graduate School and applied for a tax accountant exam subject exemption?

A.Applications for exemption from tax accountant examination subjects must be made after completing the master's course and submitting a passed Master’s Thesis, so we do not know the exact number of people who have applied, but applications are made every year and exemptions are approved.

- What are the places of employment for graduates?

A.Students aiming to become tax accountants find employment at accounting and tax accountant offices.
Some international International Student are active as university teachers in their home countries.
Others go on to higher education.
